If it was ever a possibility, could You please restore the original headshot system?
Having the choice between the two systems would be a neat thing to have in the options :)

Loving the mod soo far, but I wonder if it could be possible to replace the weapons sounds with higher quality versions.
They are horribly bitcrushed and muffled (I know they are directly taken from DN3D, but still).
Seems like I still have the same issue of certain mods running with 'compatibility patches' in Mmod:
Upon launching them what You end up seeing is a broken purple\black checkered menu, and selecting any chapter doesn't work either.
I believe it has something to do with the "gameinfo.txt" files.. But that is as far as I've been able to guess on my own :/ .

Seems like I wasn't yet lucky with other mods (Like AMALGAM) ...But I shall keep on testing.
I've found a way to fix Minerva running in MMod (atleast for me).
All I did was to simply follow the guides for fixing broken mods from the steampipe update:
However, I did not change the gameinfo.txt file and instead simply focused on getting the "materials" & "models" folders out of 'ep1_pak_dir.vpk' (Using GFC Escape).
To prevent errors with GFC escape, I selected said file within' it's "episodic" directory without copying it outside.
Once that is done, simply drag the "materials" and "models" directories into the Minerva MMod folder and... afterwards, launching its shortcut from steam worked fine (no more purple and black checkered menu and what not)
This should also work with every other mod that didn't work anymore with mmod, keeping in mind that each mod may require ep2 folders or ep1 folders .
I'll be doing more testing as I go to see if there's other issues or I missed something.
That's actually a common issue with everything HL2.
Even the vanillia games, if I am not mistaken.
Like stated previously, Your best bet is to restart the game once You've changed the resolution.
That has always fixed it for me (even if it is really annoying).
Yup, it's installed and works just fine on it's own (I tried with both the Steam version and the older non-steam one.. Similar borked results).
Seems like when using this Zombines (I'm unsure if other zombies suffer from the same issue, seems to happen mostly with those specifically) in certain campaign mods (Alongside MMOD btw) tend to immediately die upon rising up from the ground.. Not really sure why it happens.
A real shame as I found myself enjoying the addon a whole bunch ^^
Been trying to play the Minerva mod with MMOD and it's shortcut on the steam library, but upon booting it up, all I get is a purple checkered menu (plus I am unable to start the game from any of the chapters via the 'new game' option).
What's odd is that I can run HL2, the episodes (& LC) and even HL2 Update just fine using the MMOD shortcuts..
If anyone could help me with this one, I'd gladly appreciate :)
Alright peeps, got some good news here:
I actually found the issue with the missing textures and models!
It's, I believe, all related to the steampipe migration shenanigans and how that borked countless old mods (I should mention that I've also installed the 2013 Source SDK, that's pretty much mandatory I believe).
What I did was follow this guide: Steamcommunity.com
The part that lists their fixed version of "gameinfo.txt" for EP2 is what You need to use: Just follow the instructions written there and voilĂ !
(Also probably it's a good idea to restart steam before launching the mod again, I think that ensures it'll use the new gameinfo file).
Addendum:
Upon further testing, it does seem that this breaks the intro the mod is supposed to start with.. You can load in the other intros and even launch the train opening sequence via console.. I'll have to keep playing this to see if other things have broken much the same.
Addendum2: Looks like renaming the intro map (intro.bsp and the others of the same name) and then loading it via console commands makes it work fine again! But it doesn't continue off to the train map (At which point I just loaded in "opening.bsp" and from there on all the maps have loaded in fine with their proper transitions).
(That's still me talking, forgot to log in).
Changing the resolution from anything beyond the one set by default seem to completely break the menu (Makes it gigantic\far too zoomed in).
Even setting it a little above the default cuts off the hud.
Is there anyway to prevent this?
Not that I mind the default resolution too much, But I'd rather play this to my monitor's one.
Okay, I actually managed to figure it out thanks to friends.
I'll just say that the combination requires using the safe like You would a real life one, not Your typical videogame deal.
Sorry if I am asking for this here, but I do wonder what's the actual combination for the safe in the dam mission of the first episode ^^'
(I have found the note with the birthday date, yes.. Just unsure as to whats the combination itself).

Sorry for the silly question, but what if I, as a random mod player (Without experience in Q.A testings), wanted to give the new beta a spin?
Is the Discord server and current download only for proper testers or everyone who'd like to try it?
(For that matter, is the current new beta even in a playable state?)
I'd rather avoid joining a Discord group at random only to snag a file that isn't available on moddb (Perhaps for good reasons).

I have been suffering from countless crashes everytime I access a security screen on any level (Doesn't seem to matter if they are the main story levels or EDF side missions).
Usually restarting the game does fix it temporanely and allows me to check the same screens who previously caused me to crash.. But then eventually it happens all over again.
Once again... I kinda wonder if I set up something wrong on my end or if this is a known issue and maybe theres a fix for it.
Sorry if I am asking another question now, but what files do you have to delete or move to start a fully fresh new game?
(Because it seems like even when going for the "new game" in the menu keeps things like research files collected and such).

I've been playing this and enjoying it soo far, but I have noticed a small issue with the blood footprints (of all things..)
They appear grey most of the times when I step on blood pools and such
(And yes I am playing this on classic render mode, not polymost).
It's not what I would call a gamebreaking bug.. But it is a bit silly, is there anyway to fix this?
How can you install this patch? Just curious.
(There doesn't seem to be any instructions for that)
Been trying to play the test version of the mod for a while, but it seems like everytime I try to reload the shotgun in-game it reverts it's ammo count just to a single clip of 9 shotgun shells (It also reloads using a clip rather than by inserting the shells manually which is a tad odd..).
It also occasionally shows some random errors in console and during gameplay related to sounds and other things.
I suppose that since it's an alpha that's understandable..
It seems like I am unable to equip silencers on almost all guns now after installing this... I am wondering if this was an intentional choice or if it's a bug.
