Any idea on how to get the demo working a put in source mods and its telling it not a valid format despite the demo poping up on my steam list

Just played the demo it has a lot of promise for the real deal but my only complaint the cocaine when you take that stuff, it makes you run fast like a sonic the hedgehog I understand it's purpose but could you reduce the speed so that the player can control it. Other then that the demo was awesome and can't wait for the final game. :D
