My name is Markus and I hail from Finland, the land of frost and snow! I am a cellist, artist, visualist and a true Pagan by heart. My talents are many and besides art and music, I have extended my skills mainly in game design and writing. I have experience in all these fields and creating something visual has always been close to my heart. Otherwise a good idea, but it pretty much falls down to the fact of already having used thousands of hours in the making of the mod to this given platform would really not be a good idea...at least at this given moment. Maybe later on, as soon as I get the prologue done and published here, at least.

Is it just me, or are the NWNvault website just plain awful and horrible :D . Made a project update there anyways, so let's see if I can navigate this thing. Seems somewhat lack somewthing, or then I am just confused, as always.... *Shrug*

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, it really seems that the no-so-heavy-on-combat is coming back in a way or another (like the non-combat survival horrors for one). Because that's what an real RPG is all about; the dialogue, choices and the consequences of actions taken. As far as I know, Diablo II was NOT an RPG, whoever decided to market it that way anyways.

It's just the NWN 2 character evolvement doesn't just.... I don't know, the rule-set SUCKS :D if it would be 2nd Edition or even 3rd (was it 3rd (or 3,5) that was used in Icewind Dale 2 ? ) it would be easier and much more enjoyable to actually create more combat sequences and be more on the map as how much experience should be boasted by any given event/combat and bla bla bla....

Well, let's see what happens. The game is ON!

Hey there and thank you for endless support! Things being pretty crap over the years, lost data worth 1½ YEARS and having only backups from before that. Karma is a bitch, I know. Anyhow, I am trying to make a grand return with the project, for I will NOT let myself quit after all the effort put in the project. Much obliged, sire! Glad you find the darker side tempting, for it is quite prominent all the way through the Prologue, "BETA" and the whole storyline afterwards set ~20 years after the events of the first two prologues. It won't be a happy happy joy joy ride, not at all, for the content WILL be rough and dark, 'tis for sure.
And as I stated in the description of the module, my influences are heavy on pre-2000 games, when cencorship didn't f-up everything yet. Thus, the content will be disturbing, to say the least. Thank you for your support! Hails!

Good Heavens! Didn't really know people would get so wired about this - especially being NWN2 and to this day pretty old, yet beautiful game (graphically). I am STILL amazed to notice such positive comments and expectations of this mod becoming finally true, not just for myself, but for the sake of all faithful followers here on ModDB. I am working on with whatever remnants I have left of this module - due to an unfortunate dataloss event - and scrape out all the little details and force this damn module done! I aim to give a little update by the beginning of New Year, so stay tuned! And thank you once more for giving me more inspiration to plunge through the challenges this module sets before me.

Despite my two years' of absence, someone STILL believes in this project. I should break down in tears and wear a cloak of my shame to hide myself! I have utterly disappointed all those who have waited all those strenuous years of the completion of the remnants of The Moonlight Path. I will try to compose a news-letter in the near future, to explain all the wrongs that has fallen upon me and the project alike. Hope, however, is not lost. Not totally.... give me strength, my brethren, and I will strive to give you at least a glimbse of what it was that I wanted to create in a senseless magnitude!

I am happy to deliver such a profound effect on you by what I've done thusfar! Only time will tell when I get to give out a demo/prologue for everyone to play. Keep fingers crossed, even if it might take a long while. This is a strenuous burden for me, with everything revolving around it and my personal life.

Thanks lad for your encouraging comment and enthusiasm directed towards my perpetual creation; The Moonlight Path :) . I am glad to see people still getting interested in it, despite the fact that it has been postponed numerous times due to personal and PC-oriented problems and difficulties. I cannot give any promises as of when there is a playable demo or the first part of the Prologue let loose for the crowd out there, but I will do my best to work things out ;)

Yes, I have read and experienced also some truly poor stuff, especially written dialog *ahem* Bethesda *ahem* and whatever weird twists and useless plot-lines. I have excelled my skills in writing both dialog and story-based writing over the years, and there my talents are on place. Of course I am fairly adequate with many other things, sure, but writing/storytelling is something I really think I execute quite well... and in certain unique style.

Yes, I don't understand why the Endings in games are always so similar to something that has been introduced 20years ago already. Yes, there are many kind of Goods and many kind of Evils and many kind of people who just randomly balance thing to their own allurement or anything else.

I don't want the end to be necessarely something that is obvious from the beginning or happens after an super-mega-epic battle/scene. It needs time after the final encounter (or whatever it will be, no way in hell I am going to tell what's the final scene before the actual end ;D).

I want the ending to be dramatically surprising and something the player never expected, no matter the actions and choices made. It needs to be something that really strikes at you and really opens up the final answer to the final question "why?". So basically I want to fool the player from the very start to draw whatever "obvious" conclusions and then just blast everything at his/her face.

Or then I am just a plain ******* and end the game with a sequence "You drift back from your final encounter and in your deep thoughts, you trip over to a small pebble, hitting your head against a huge stone. Your final moments of heroism ends to an embarrassing fate and death." muahaha.

I am glad that at least some of the supporters of what I try to create are actually talking to me on regular basis. Those people are quite few. Others just lurk in the shadows and silence, waiting for some epic blast to happen.
But it's more gratuitous to talk with the people who wish something to come at their way, than just give something to a mute audience.

Of course the Alignment is a factor in the end, but not in the usual sense of "because I am Evil, I become Lord of Destruction and rule the World with an iron fist, because I CAN!" or being good "I saved the World and now I retire to a cabin atop the Alps and have my life there in peace.... until a new Evil arises" or the clichés we have pretty much seen quite enough.

It is a matter or morals, your choices and actions taken, how you yourself perceive your actions to be Evil or Good, or something from between or around. It's not just the straightforward "**** you, I kill you" or "Lol I help you regardless of you being an *******, but since I am compelled 'cause I am Good" things, but more of a... deeper perspective and nature of dialog and actions chosen.

I am waiting forward even myself of how I will eventually execute the Ending sequences, though I pretty much already have them quite nicely knit together ;)

Yeah well, people are prone to run away the tail between their legs when problem arises and when there is a slight pause in production phase. I don't scold them, though. I am much obliged of their dedication and the things they provided, especially the composers who are priceless.

Yes, there are possibility for multiple endings, but I think I will settle for 2 different ones, IF not for 3 (and this certainly doesn't mean the basic approach of Good/Neutral/Evil).

Suffice to say, that what makes TMP, is what lies in my heart and thus reflects it as the visual entity that this project is. It might be no one ever realizes or understands the final message - depending on which ending the player oughts to pursue for -, but I will reveal it in time.
That is IF I ever get to the very end of the project itself, haha.

This requires blood and excessive physical whipping... and seriously, a team. Have had several teams over the years, but it seems people are so fragile that they run away as soon as the first problem occurrs...

let's see what the future brings with it, shall we? ;)

I am much obliged :) . But the true love that lies beyond the love of making this game, is far greater than you might expect it to be. Eventhough the game will be excessively violent, dark-brooding and a blast of emotions, the message behind it all will be both heart-warming as well as breaking. THAT is the goal I aim for with The Moonlight Path :)

Yes, this is one of my favorites of all the music made for this immense adventure (there is nearly 2½hours of usable music readied over the process), it gives me shivers, emotional rush and makes me think and remember all the things in my past. Beautiful beyond measure.
