This is the very first post regarding a just-recruited modeler. It probably is just a work-in-progress to show the viewer some screens. Also this is "Indie"DB and not a large-scale project.
Pointing out that his work isn't perfect yet is cool, especially since it sounds you're a modeler too. But saying so in such a negative tone and judging the modeler by just ONE posted model - not cool man.
Give it time, maybe it'll become better.
Is it really possible? A SINGLEPLAYER Stargate game? Everyone - both commercial and mod team - only tried out multiplayer, and the only promising story game was cancelled. If this is the real deal, it's nothign short of a miracle, and just as impressive as Black Mesa.
Also, CryEngine 2 has a decent mod example at last. Compared to the dozens of UDK, Unity and heck, even Source engine mods, a high-quality CryEngine mod was long overdue.

The Soul Calibur series has a famous character, Nightmare, whose sword has an eye on it. It's the Soul Edge, one of the two strongest swords in the game series' story.
This may or may not have been done unintentionally. Perhaps it's a late April's Fools running gag that is removed in the final version.
