If you want an especially good Star Destroyer model with HD textures that is also pretty versatile, I could send you the Star Destroyer model from Star Wars Galaxies without all the little extra details if you would like.

Ah, you may be right there.
May I suggest adding an additional shield generator to the hemisphere underneath and two more engines hardpoints for the three engines?
EXQUISITE! Do you plan on adding the authentic sounds from Battlefront to it?
I personally find these new shield effects very appealing, although I do have some reservations. I an unfamiliar with any capitol ship shields in SW that are so spherical, so they seem to take up a great deal of physical space.
About the old "hull-hugging" effects, do they consume more ram to have that blue effect that spreads across the hull? If so, then I would not suggest going back to that, but I do suggest one alternative.
My favourite shield variant is from Star Wars Galaxies.

I also have the sound effect taken straight from the files if you would like.
Next to Empire at War: Re, this is without a doubt the most beautiful mod I have ever seen. However, I must admit that my only reservation is the explosions, which seem to take a very long time to disappear. I might find it more satisfying if they only appeared briefly. But aside from that, this is truly incredible. Especially the beam weapons.
I must admit, I prefer this one. Being less pointy, it more resembles the Clone Wars-style bolt.
Many thanks for the swift response. I was not entirely certain what the Diamond Boron missile was since I could not make out the exact cause of the large explosion size, nor was I entirely certain if this was the problem you were referring to. Many thanks for enlightening me.
I must admit, this is perhaps the most visually spectacular mod I have ever seen for Empire at War next to Thrawn's Revenge.
However, for the sake of honest constructive criticism, some of these explosions are extraordinarily large. I am unsure if that is a glitch or not, but explosions such as destroyed hardpoints and missile impacts (if I am assuming their causes correctly) are absolutely massive, and I find that may be a bit too much.
Aside from that though, I must again complement the utterly exquisite visuals, and I am looking extremely forward to downloading the next version.
I must admit, this is a perfect replacement for the vanilla Sentinel. This certainly makes me look even more forward to his mod. I can hardly wait to see what you reveal for us next.
Also, mind if I ask how you acquired this model?
Team colours in Skirmish! At last! Many thanks!
Where is the Inquisitor from? You stated it was made by Lucas Animation. How did you acquire it, if you do not mind me asking? Because I certainly would not mind seeing more.
I believe you have made infantry in Empire at War dramatically more dynamic. If you choose to share the specs of how this is possible with the rest of the community, then indeed, you would have proven an asset to modding EAW like no other.
I normally do not comment on videos, images or even mods themselves, but I must express my amazement at this accomplishment. I shall certainly be keeping an eye on this mod.
Understood. Again, thanks for the response.
Understood. Many thanks for your reply. I most certainly look forward to future updates. Aside from the mentioned issues, this mod has been most enjoyable thus far.
Oh, if you do not mind me asking, do you plan to add any new maps?
Regards
Thisrelease seems to have fixed the near-constant crashing I was experiencing, which I am most grateful for. Thus far, the mod has proven to be surprisingly excellent, although I do have some suggestions.
The AI tends to focus on building mountains of Destroyers in Skirmish, which I find somewhat frustrating, especially considering all they seem to do is clutter up in one location, but they do occasionally send out attack groups of smaller ships.
Have you considered creating a custom UI from the assets in Freespace 2? I would certainly love for the interface to match the original game.
Finally, have you considered, if possible, finding a way to make the music change more frequently? I find that Skirmishes can become somewhat repetitive when the same music is playing throughout the entire match.
Also, have you considered making the music change depending on which era you are playing in, such as FS1 music for FS1 era matches and FS2 music for FS2 era matches?
Regards, and well done on this most enjoyable mod thus far.
Apologies, I just realised I downloaded and commented on the wrong mod.
I was experiencing very frequent crashing in the release before this, but this new one seems to have fixed it, as far as I can tell. There are a few issues though.
Aside from how the AI has the habit of constructing as many Destroyers as possible, the custom voice-overs no longer seem to be present. Is there a reason for this? I'm certain the previous release had them.
Anyway, aside from the somewhat warped main menu text, this mod is turning out exquisitely. Have you considered creating a custom UI as well? I been thinking of creating one in the style of the Freespace menus.
