Whether you love the freedom and adaptability of the game with a limitless game world, or the blocky and pixelated graphics make you sick in your mouth a little, this is definitely a title headed to video game Valhalla.

It has to be said that Minecrafts creator Markus 'Notch' Persson imparts inspiration for all independent game developers, the game being the success that it is.
Minecraft compliments mods very well, Yogbox, Mo creatures, Tekkit, countless texture and model packs.

I think the hardest pill to swallow for most people is that it's hardly the prettiest game of the decade, that being said, most hardcore gamers grew up on 8 bit and 16 bit consoles, so i really don't see how it's a concern, hell, it's practicly an art style at this point; additionally, there are mods out there to improve the various visual aspects, including overall texture resolution and lighting.
I'd say it's a brilliant form of non-linear gameplay, and it'll be played for years to come.
