Nothing has changed, grass rendering is the same. Try writing to the engine support about rendering grass on github. I am not responsible for rendering, also in this version of the engine there are bugs with tessellation and displaying bumps, I advise you to use an older version.

You need to unpack the rar archive from github to the root of the game and in the future you only need to run the game through "xrEngine.exe" which is in the "bin_x64" folder.
