Ideas for Ambient Music Thread - Bronies of Moddb™

Hey guys, time to dust off the forum and bring this up...

I recently added some auto-play ambient music to my profile and loved how it turned out, so I think it might be good to have some for our group too...
Add's a professional touch ^_^

Some restrictions though:

-Must be soft, subtle music, nothing "In your face"
-Brony/Pony related
-Instrumental -If possible-
-Give us the best quality possible, HD if you can
-Must be from Youtube, makes it MUCH easier

So is this a good idea, do you have a song in mind, just post it here...
We can also vote on music if needed in a poll...

It's annoying to browse the internet then suddenly hear music out of nowhere, especially if you're already listening to your own music. I'm against it unless you can find some way for people to toggle it, and preferably keep it off by default.

I vote RD's Battle Theme (by RainbowCrash88), but that's just my opinion. It's new and it just came out. Should also fit the group rather well.

I have another reason why I think this shouldn't be done; people have different musical tastes. You'd be driving away anyone who didn't like whatever song you choose.

Good point, though something like a subtle violin/piano piece would be good wouldn't it?
It could be toggle-able with a play button in the header perhaps?

If people who don't want to listen to it can turn it off, then I say go for it.

I was going more for the whole, "subtle feel"; if someone had music blasting, they wouldn't hear the subtle BG music. Do what you want though.

Yeah, that one should do. Subtle enough to not annoy people who are playing music and nice enough to not suddenly piss off someone.

It's the start we're looking for, as the page will usually be modified within ~30 seconds...

Unless you can make it easily switchable from on to off, then I oppose the idea.

i used embedded media and put the loop command on the end of the youtube link

Frankie, the music playing like on my or Luna-tic's profile is due to an HTML code you can put in your blogs at the bottom. It also supposedly serves as a button for people who want to turn it off.

Just noticed this thread, well I really like ambient music. I like it if you put this song (Aphex twin - stone in focus) on.
