Most zombie games give you a gun, but *real* men don't use guns. Real men run marathons and use chainsaws! Zombie Run is a game about running away from your problems, scoring big and inevitably dying alone and unloved =P

Hey guys,
I've just released a multiplayer version of Zombie Run: it's now playable 1 or 2-player on the same keyboard. Unfortunately I'm living alone at the moment so there hasn't been much of an opportunity to test it with a friend. As such I really need some feedback on various things:
- do you capture enough inputs for two people on one keyboard?
- does the game run well with the large numbers of zombies?
- is the game balanced between single and multiplayer (score-wise)?
- should I keep the the penalty for killing your friend?
- should I keep the penalty for dying in multiplayer?
- should I change the resurrection mechanics? Dead player becomes a zombie?
- do you like the way the score is pooled at the end, or would you rather each have your own?
Thanks in advance, and have fun playing cooperatively - I know a lot of people have asked for it =)

The game executable for Windows, with new version with music by Henrik. I've got it working on VirtualBox with WineD3D but Gamemaker games have a habit...

make this for 2 player i want to play with my friend and he would be the bait :D
Your multiplayer is ready sir :-P
Unfortunately I essentially live alone in a broom cupboard, otherwise I'd take some footage. I could try playing 2 people at once, but it might look a bit odd...
A couple of people suggested making it 2 player actually: think it might be good fun. Not too experienced with net programming, but it'd be simple to do a shared keyboard mode...
for the scores think about this,
-score pooling
-friendlyfire
-resurrection
-dieing penalty
all these should should be an option in the options menu so you can make the game your way, easier or harder
and just to say, could you make a 2player mod where other player starts as the fast zombie and infects the stickmen and other player would have to survive as long as he can (scores 100 points each ten seconds the player one survives till
the inevitable end.
Could you explain this mod idea a bit more clearly? One player is a zombie, the other is a human, and there should be other NPC humans to convert right?
just an idea to toss at you...
Hmmm - well, I might give re-hashes a miss for the time being: I want to work on other projects. Ones compatible with Linux and Mac :-)
I'll have a look at the other stuff when I'm set up in Italy. I may be releasing the source of these games though, if people are interested in taking them in hand...
just asking about the options, will you add on/off on the options?
Your game looks very nice :)
Cheers :-)
I'm actually going to be using an original track in the very near future, along with a couple of other updates: I like the 28 Days Later one but I'd rather not have to worry about copyright.
Also there's no way it'll get publicised unless I use my own music :P
