All that glitters is not gold;
Often have you heard that told:
Many a man his life hath sold
But my outside to behold:
Gilded tombs do worms enfold.
Had you been as wise as bold,
Young in limbs, in judgment old,
Your answer had not been inscroll'd:
Fare you well; your suit is cold.“

William Shakespeare, “The Merchant of Venice”, 1596.

Morituri vivunt diutius

Hello.

As we have been working very hard on content, story, media and the production of sounds & music for Zeitgeist in the past weeks, we haven’t had time for an update. So sorry, but that’s how it’s going to stay for a while, as we are currently extending the team and there’s that need of making new people familiar with everything before they can start working efficiently.

However, we’re happy to provide you with some new media. Those of you who have been following most of our updates and have an eye open for small hints might have anticipated this for a while: We’re not going to limit Zeitgeist to only one city, when there’s hundreds of them in this wide world! Sooner or later, Mr. Czerny will need to change his wingtip-shoes for a shiny pair of watertight venetian slippers, or, even better, a pair of wellingtons.

Venice will be a focus point later in Zeitgeist’s story – the timeless feeling of the city, which has been harmed neither by the terrors of the Great War from 1914-1929, nor by the ensuing fashionable disease of spreading neon signs, stays familiar in Zeitgeist’s timeline. Here’s a set of pictures to illustrate what we have planned for you.

I swear that for a moment the preview pics looked like reference photos from real locations. Map making skills are right up there with Dear Esther.

Mind blowing, I can't even believe this still is the old Source Engine. What you did there was incredible, can't wait for more infos and for sure the final result. ;)
