Our biggest update yet is out for PC, and we're still on sale for 80% off, but not much longer!

Multiplayer has hit the PC version, and you can start playing with your friends right away.
Also of note: the terrain system has been completely revamped though your old saves still work as before! And there are 4 awesome new biomes. See the video below!

On start you will be asked for a Gamer Name and Port. For the port we recommend 14242, though technically any free and open port will do. It is important to remember which port you decide to use. If you're not sure, stick with 14242.

Now it's time to either start a game (and then host it, same as in Xbox, Multiplayer Beta > Launch) or Join Game, at which point you'll need to enter a Game Name and an IP address. This should be the outward facing IP address of the person who is serving the game. This is not a 192.168.x.x number. If the person you are trying to connect to doesn't know what their outward facing IP is, they can go to the same Join Game menu as you and see it printed in the upper-right corner. (Alternately have them google "what is my ip").

To recap: joining another player, enter a name for that game and the server's IP, which they gave to you.
Johnny Blood took this video of the new gameplay, check it out at the 9:00 mark for some hilarity:
