Voyage to Farland is a tough-as-nails graphical roguelike game. What's a roguelike? It's a notoriously challenging dungeon crawler role playing game. This game is NOT a grindfest or a hack-n-slash game. It's turn-based and succeeding requires keen strategy and perseverance. But you're up to the task and you have what it takes to defeat the Spirit Witch and unlock the hardcore dungeon, The Path of No Return. If you make it to the end of THAT dungeon, a surprise is in store for you. Five themed dungeons. Tons of monster types with devious abilities. Voyage to Farland will keep you busy for months to come. Fun things you can do in Voyage to Farland: • get a pet robot you can level up • befriend an outcast monster that will help you fight • take on the challenge of the Strategy Dungeon • build weapon & shield enchantments and store gear in a warehouse

There are two ways to exit Voyage to Farland and save your game progress.

First Method
The first method is by hitting the x key (or your custom key mapping) for the Save/Revert function. You can then use the arrow keys to select Yes and your current game will be saved. This is a holdover from Voyage to Farland's early days as a Nintendo DS homebrew game (turning off the power to the DS would lose your game progress!)

...and you'll exit back to the Start Menu.

from there you can check your Rankings, Noteworthy Achievements, visit the Creature Menagerie, etc. If you're in window mode (as opposed to fullscreen) you can quit the game with the window X button/widget. In fullscreen mode you can hit Escape and Yes, although a single escape is interpreted as the same as the BACK OUT button (b key) so you'll have to hit Escape twice to reach the Quit screen.

Second Method
The second method for saving is handy if you just want to save your progress and don't need to access the Start Menu. While you are playing - for example, you've selected "Go Forth" from the Start Menu, you can simply hit the Escape key to access the Quit Screen

When you select YES, your game progress will be saved and you'll exit the game. This also saves your screen mode preference (window or fullscreen) so that the next time you start the game, it should open in your preferred screen mode and you won't have to hit F12 to change it!
