It looks very nice!

Before you or someone rigs up pidgey I recommend downloading a pokemon from Model-resource.com. These rigs and models are in fact ripped but holds a bunch of knowledge. They will show you how they are rigged by looking at weights for each model.

Animating wings is pretty hard in games and you will have clipping when you choose to use only one set of highish poly wings. Take a look at pidgeotto from Model-resource and there is only one version on the site if you search for it. Okay, After you download it you will see that it has a highpoly and a lowpoly wing. So this shows that they animated both highpoly and lowpoly. I believe you can use alpha masks to achieve this transfer. After this I would recommend doing this for all bird pokemon that has a more detailed design to their wings. Skarmory, Murkrow, Pidgey+ are some of the examples that has that sort of detail. I wouldn't recommend this for some pokemon like Torchic because the wings doesn't need to bend much.

Hopefully this knowledge has helped either for you or your future animator :)!

Oh forgot. To look at the rig you must import either the DAE or the SMD file into your 3DsMax, Blender, or Maya.

Realistic VS Pure Anime style? Which one would you prefer more??

I tried cel shading but didn't like it.. so i decided to go for Anime style, It's a little extra work but I think its gonna look much better than cel shading anyway!

PS: Nevermind the pidgey pose.. its not rigged!
