Thought I'd post this on its own thread since it's a quite fatal issue.

The save button may or may not save your mission, so save as may be better alternative until it's fixed. However, sometimes save as refuse to overwrite the mission either thus your last resort might be to delete the .msn file first and save as again. Make sure to ALWAYS check the .msn's modified date in case of the editor doesn't save.

Yes, I´ve noticed in occasions, fixed but I wasn´t completely sure if it was 100% bug free.
In my work pattern I didn´t found that issue again but if you know a way to reproduce the issue I´ll fix it immediately

I can confirm this bug,and it just happen 10 mins ago so I'm here now...

It also happened me while working in the challenges; they were being saved in the edit folder.
If you are unable to save in any way, test the mission and then rename the AutoSave_TestM.msn inthen edit folder and then place it where you want.

Sometimes the autosave/saved mission in the editor/mission folder may not saved as well. Better check the modified date all the time.

update: After several experiments, it's as if the Save As only work if you select/click the mission name from the list several times before you hit the save button. It solves my "unable to find resource/sound file" problem too in that way. Strange.

update2: forget about it, it's still saved as AutoSave_TestM.msn in the editor folder.
