That's it! All playable radical aircraft from Ace Combat 3 are done. I'll release a megapack in the future with the old planes updated to the current quality level. Don't forget to copy ALL the folders included in this pack, not just the plane.
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH THANK YOU
Now that is the brighter afterburner, just like the one I want. Hope you do the same with XR900
Not again! The plane still uses the same Xpand_Aeongen.ini file from the last two planes, meaning maybe I have to uninstall the Aurora that I installed before. Do I have to uninstall the Aurora or I can install this plane and the Geopelia along the Aurora together?
Dude, just over write it, and it's not like your computer will blow up if you experiment a little. (Jokes aside, just over write it, they will all work fine)
You'll need to overwrite the files. Both because that's how it works, second because the old particle systems were updated.
Thanks Xpand. Great work as usual!
YES YES YES MY COLLECTION IS COMPLETE THANK YOU VERY MUCH PLEASE BEAR MY CHILDREN
Xpand22, I must ask, are you going to work of the COFFIN version of real life prototypes from ACE3 now? Aircraft such as the F/A-18I/U Hornet ADV, F-16XF/XFU Gyrfalcon, EF-2000E Typhoon II and others.
The MiG-33 Fulcrum SS is an easy one since the aircraft is already in Vector Thrust as the MiG-29SM4 (oddly enough, locked according to the aircraft's .ini and unable to unlock through the Challenge mode, nothing that modifying the .ini file won't solve), just a skin (including cockpit re-skin) and a rename away. I suggest making it an entirely new aircraft in your download.
Another aircraft that seems to be fairly easy is the A/F-117X NAVHawk which could be a reskinned F-117C (cockpit re-skin included) and the modified .ini to make it a new aircraft.
P.S: I say real-life prototypes because most of the real life aircraft present in ACE3 are based upon prototypes and not actual production variants.
I'll make those aswell. Just not in the near future because IRL is going to be a bit troublesome for the next 6 months or so. I'll make them from scratch because even though they're based off real aircraft they have some futuristic design quirks that I also want to enhance.
Awesome! You rock dude! Thanks for bringing back to life these aircraft, those of us who love ACE3 really appreciate it. =)
"MiG-29SM4 (oddly enough, locked according to the aircraft's .ini and unable to unlock through the Challenge mode, nothing that modifying the .ini file won't solve)"
Because the challenge for the said plane hasn't been made yet, I suppose.
Anyway, an alternative way to "convert" VT vanilla planes to its COFFIN-equipped AC3 counterpart revolves using tool called Ogre XML converter (official tool by ogre dev) to convert Ogre .mesh to .xml and then import it to 3DS max and start modify the mesh.
The downside is that you have to redone the bone & animation parts on your own since the tool obviously can't convert the animation/skeleton file.
Thats nice
we need wait for ACE3 voice packs
but anyways nice job
