Hi, Im Jonny I'm a huge fan of Vector Thurst and I'm not an expert on modding but I was wondering is there anyway to use addon aircraft in campaign mode ?
They're not useable if the campaign author did not add the mod plane in question to the player whitelist, IE the default campaigns.
If the campaign maker DID add the plane to the whitelist, though, then you just have to get the virtual $$$, then buy it.
You can also mod the campaign yourself, but I can't remember the exact file and line..
or just extract the campaign missions to your battle scenario folder, and play with LITERALLY EVERYTHING. If you want.
Normally, if you copypaste a plane's folder with the .ini alone in a matching architecture within the campaign folder, the game will use that .ini instead, removing the need to alter the originals in Objects/Aircraft/ . But last time I checked, only some informations are overwritten ( such as the [Data] and [Info] blocks ), and it sadly doesn't include weapons... Needs to be fixed...
Oh ok I see now and thanks for the reply, there's also a arcade mode so I'm guessing once I unlock that ill be able to use any plane, but either way this game is bad *** and has so much potential, and so easy to mod lol I just found out how to mod your TLS laser weapon on any aircraft through the .ini file xD
Arcade mode is removed in the latest beta patch.
