Vacant Sky is a traditional RPG following the story of one girl's murder and how it changes the lives of everyone around her permanently.
The gameplay is NEAR flawless to me, a few minor bugs appeared during my playthrough. but look past them and you will see an amazingly well-made game, balanced, challenging but not too hard, it never becomes an endless grind for gold or exp. This alone makes it a must-play for all the RPG lovers.
I couldn't find a single flaw in the music, whether you are in battle or just roaming around in the cities. The music always fits the moment you are in, it feels sad at times it needs to be, slow but tense when faced with a difficult trial, relaxing when in a peaceful area. And you get all this in an indie game. What can you possibly complain about??
the story itself is quite original, but at some parts it had some predictable plot twists. The thing that makes this story unique is the way you experience it. you don't just play through the story you are part of it and the game makes you feel that way too.
Visual style 10/10
I have seen this sort of style a lot in old RPG's, but it never ceases to amaze me what people can create with such a low amount of pixels and still make it look like something... well I can't find the word for it, you'll just have to play the game yourself to see it. The reason I like this style is because it has this nostalgic feel to it. One of the best aspects of this art is the lighting, it just creates a "living" feel to every area
Overall rating 10/10
I enjoyed EVERY single part of this game, or maybe calling this masterpiece a "game" is more or less an insult. But I just gave my opinion on this beauty, just play it and see with your own eyes what this game has to offer.
BTW this was my VERY FIRST review on a game so don't be too disappointed if somethings are missing. I hope you enjoyed reading my review and thank you for taking the time to read this.
