Monsters, weapons, potions, spells, quests, pets, bosses, a giant castle... and a funny story! Unepic is a combination of platforming and role playing games. There are many hilarious references throughout the game. The game takes place in Harnakon, a huge medieval castle. It is set in the hardcore NES Style, yet refined with the latest features. This makes Unepic a very unique game. Daniel, the hero, is a normal guy from recent times: a great videogame player, big sci-fi movie fan, novice player of role playing games, pot-head and overall, horny due to a mysterious lack of success with girls. During a D&D session he is teleported to a fantasy castle where his modern way of thinking will go against monsters and other characters from there.
The miracle finally happened! Unepic, an unknown Spanish indie game succeeded in the IGOY and reached the TOP 10.

Unepic is now between the 10 most popular indie games released in 2011.
Possibilities were very low because Unepic is still very unknow, and was not published in Desura or Steam before and during the votation. Moreover, there were great and very popular games in the competition.
This achievement will give more visibility to the game. Yeah!!
I give my thanks to those people that voted this game, and to Spanish indie game magazines who supported the game. :c)

DUDE, IM SO SORRY, IVE BEEN LOOKING TO BUY YOUR GAME FOR WEEKS. AND NOW THIS. YOU WILL BE REWARDED MY FRIEND!!!
Congrats, great job and take my money :D
I can't believe Atom Zombie Smasher even got into the top 10 much less beating out Unepic by one spot.
I played it for maybe 10 minutes then deleted it, it's that boring.
Oh well, at least Unepic is the first game you see when looking at the list! :D
"unepic first in the list so it's the first game you see"
Yeah, that's exactly what I thought! :c) Much better being 10 than 9.
WTF are you talking about? I love Unepic, but AZS is purely amazing, go watch the Let's Play of it by YogcastSips if you need convincing.
Congrats on all of the hard work and success you guys have received! We are still struggling after almost a year of constant marketing!
It is ridiculously hard to get any kind of media attention :(
