Thea: The Awakening is a turn-based strategic survival game inspired by Slavic Mythology and Folklore and set in a Dark Fantasy world. As the world of Thea awakens from a century of Darkness, you are mankind's last hope. There are no heroes, no monster slayers, and no great armies ready to banish the dark forces that plague Thea. Just a few hopeless and starving survivors, who are desperately trying to stay alive. And you: their only true hope. For one hundred years, Thea was a land of Darkness. Ruled by creatures of the night, demons from the depths of the underworlds and lost souls tormented the living, unable to find peace. Gods fell from their seats, kingdoms crumbled into ruin, and death and despair dominated the lands. In Thea: The Awakening you take on the role of a god, a patron of a small group of survivors, desperately trying to lead your flock through the many risks and dangers that plague Thea. Only your

As a huge fan of Homm III for nostalgia reasons I waited for this for years.
20 years exactly and now I can say that I have those feelings again for a game. The game is fresh. The game is original in almost every aspect. It's a combination of some genres I love most. 4x strategy and Rogue Survival in a very addictive turn based random world. 4400 items to find or craft. 8 different classes with skill trees to use in tactical card game battles.
Last but not least around all this great gameplay lays a beautiful and friendly artstyle, an well written Slavic Myth story divided in many. many quests.
Difficulty is customizable from unforgiven to ironmode permadeath on large to huge random worlds. For me this is absolute winner of GOTY!

I just got the game and played it a little... first sesion 10h long...time spent there is just like in civ5... im gonna end next turn but you get that awesome quest, on your way to end this quest you get more quest, and random events, then something raid your town and you have to save them... wanted just to play 1 or 2 turn and go to sleep... i played over 400 turns instead.

MuHa games did really well on this game.
