The world is ending, a shadow is covering the realm. In the darkness, kingdoms fall asunder, plagues and famines spread like wildfire, and creature from a bygone age roam free. An ancient organization once tasked with defending this realm from these creatures, now shattered and unable to perform its duties. This dark shadow now unstoppable, and the end is nigh, the dark epoch has truly begun.
I've made the shader able to change the roughness, refraction height and colour based on the depth of the water.
As you can see in the specular highlight, when the highlight gets closer to the edge of an 'island' it gradually becomes more diffuse.
