any way to disable the on-court markers? talk about immesion-breaking, ruins the 'realistic' feeling completely. Also the sound effects don't seem to reverb naturally, they end too abrubtly (i forget the actual term for this).
Also is there any way that the players walk naturally to their positions between points instead of resetting like a video game? again, doesn't look realistic or immersive, looks arcadey.

Helpers can be turned on/off as you prefer.

There are better things to do in life than watching your player walking to his serve/return position 50 times per set... ;-)

Nice to see you can actually hit the ball into the net. But there still seems to be no way to hit a ball long...

There's a jump at the net, but no dive.

I bought a version of this game about 4 years ago, can't remember if it was the 2009 version or earlier (if there is earlier)....anyway, I enjoyed the patience it required to build a character, but I remember it was far too difficult to put the ball away at the net - the net play was very unrealistic and awkward. Has that changed at all? Looking at this video, I would guess not too much, but maybe. Also being able to jump for shots (even if you miss) or dive would make the gameplay so so so much more realistic and satisfying. And of course: ONLINE PLAY FOR MAC USERS!!

The net play didn't change a lot, but have been tuned over the years. If your skilled enough, you can use the accelerated volley which usually ends in a winner.

Description

This is the video of an online match between me (the game author, named P.1 here) and imran ; we're both in the range of 1600-1700 ELO so it was pretty tight.

Settings : Fair Mode, Elite Controls, Tiredness on, 150ms Delay, Blue-Green Cement.

He started well, but lost his focus at end of the set to give me the victory..! :-p

Here the 2nd page of the stats :
12 / 31 = 39% - Short Rallies Won (under 5) - 19 / 31 = 61%
4 / 14 = 29% - Medium Rallies Won (5-8) - 10 / 14 = 71%
5 / 6 = 83% - Long Rallies Won (above 8) - 1 / 6 = 17%
0 - Set Points Saved - 0
0 - Match Points Saved - 0
16 / 24 = 67% - Points won on 1st Serve - 19 / 26 = 73%
8 / 10 = 80% - Points won on 2nd Serve - 5 / 8 = 63%
10 / 34 = 29% - Return Points Won - 10 / 34 = 29%
0 - Return Winners - 0
1 / 2 = 50% - Breaks / Games With Break Point - 0 / 0 = 0%

He completely dominated the medium rallies, while I totally dominated the long ones.
