Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a free 3D Sonic the Hedgehog fan-game built on a heavily modified fork of the Doom Legacy source port of Doom. It is closely inspired by the original Sonic games from the Sega Genesis, and attempts to recreate their classic design in 3D with robust multiplayer and mod support.

Horrible Controls.
Finicky Camera.
Sonic is too fast for his own good.
Knuckles drops like a rock while gliding.
Tails can only fly for about 10 seconds at best.
The castle Eggman boss is unbearable.
At best this game is mediocre.
At worst this game is atrocious.
I recommend getting this game if you wish to torture yourself.
Despite a few blemishes here and there (my biggest gripe is that the way the characters control takes some getting used to and could perhaps benefit from a bit of extra tweaking) overall it's an incredibly charming and fun game, with a fantastic art direction and soundtrack. I had a great time with it and I can't wait to see it developed further.

These games are the perfect tonic to soothe the pain of how *wretchedly* awful the official Sonic franchise is nowadays!
Very good Sonic game, close to the originals and even better in my opinion than some of the later SEGA Sonic games (e.g. Sonic Adventure DX). Very good controller support, it works with DirectInput controllers (such as my USB Sega Pad), and also plays well with keyboard/mouse. There are a lot of options to customize controls, I recommend to play with full mouse look (X any Y axis). Music is good and reminscent of the original one. Level design is also good, and includes a lot of secrets.
Beautiful, ambitious, unlike any Sonic game you've ever played before yet exactly the kind of Sonic you always wanted.

a fantastic game to bring the nostalgia and innovation of sonic together is what sonic roboblast 2 is. the game is very fast paced and action packed with a ridiculous amount of content, and great level design this game will have you on it for hours! heck, im writing this at 3:17 in the morning! however though the games physics need a little tweaking, but what would you expect from a game thats in a kinda early stage of development? overall sonic roboblast 2 delivers fun, fantastic visuals, wonderful level design, and loads of content. it definitely is worth a download. speaking of which why are you still reading this? what are you waiting for? Seriously entertaining game, played through it mutiable times and have shared it with tons of my firends who have all loved it. It's got a very replayable singleplayer mode and a very fun multiplayer.
This game is such a jewel. A must play game for all Doom and Sonic fans!
