Skies has been patched to v1.1.2. The update fixes the issues with the invisible ships in the story missions which implied driving an exotic ship (e.g. the civil ship to escape with or the base cannon which protects a city)
Note also that the issue with the Desura App has been solved, and you should be able to install Skies through the App or through the website from now on.
