Description
A new Version of Sinking Simulator, with a lot of fixes, meant to reproduce the looks and feels of the original, while enabling easy modding. Now with improved toolbox and ship selection, and a magnificent .exe for windows users, that should give info when the game crashes. Modding tutorials coming soon if not already available. You can check my github page (Wicpar) for example projects bundled in this package.

How do you install this?
Just run windows install and then execute the exe file.
The Jar and exe opens to a black screen. The installer say that Sinking Simulator 2 already exists in %appdata%, but all thats there is an empty folder.
Oh damn ok... the thing is you need to copy the 2 folders in .sinkingsimulator2... i will update the installer asap.

Btw just so you know, the game itself is a mod and it is on github on my profile(Wicpar) and the toolbox is a mod of it with the open code too. I'll get tutorials out soon

Let me give my feed back on the game play. Jelly bug seems to be back 2 or more ships will cause most of the "interior" areas on the ships to be completely destroyed. IMO the ships are to transparent. Also collision physics seem to be gone :(. Also some text on the options area is bugged for me.
Ok thanks for the feedback. The interior istability is caused by an unknown bug i am currently trying to isolate. You can avoid it by lowering the rigidity settings. The next update will contain a graphics improvement and performance boost. Collisions will be implemented with the eulerian physics i am working on, wich will remove the instability bug. There is a known way to improve rigidity but it is very performance hungry but will be included as parameter in a future update. For the text part, it is managed by java so the only thing i can propose is to either update java or resize the toolbox until i made an ingame menu.

I was able to install just fine and without crashes, but it is impossible for me to spawn a boat. The sea bobs just fine, but regardless of which boat I try to spawn, nothing happens.
have you selected the spawn tool in addition of the ship you want to spawn?
Yup, just to clarify. I selected the ship, then clicked the spawn button, but nothing happened. I'm on Windows 10, btw.
Ah yes, one additional thing. This game is supposed to have music, right? Non is playing either. I will try updating java just in case that's the culprit, but I am using the .EXE
nope,music is not implemented yet, but feel free to make a mod for it

help im on windows ten i opened the exe and the sinking simulator banner came up and then it dissapeared it wont open
have you installed the game files?
any possibility on providing a tutorial for linux or mac? I've been fiddling around with the folder contents with no luck :(

I can't spawn any ships regardless if I click the spawn button or not? I'm on Windows 10

yeah hi ummm my computer says there is a virus in this so yeah wtf is it a virus I will report you if it is
all batch files are considered viruses by modern antiviruses regardless of their content but batch files can be used as rudimentary installers, wich i use them for, but all downloads on indiedb are screened for real viruses so, download or not i don't mind :). I will also work on a non batch installer or make it not require any install.
