ScrumbleShip is the most accurate space combat simulation devised to date. Gather resources, construct a capital ship out of individual blocks, then pilot it with AI or human help against other players.
The back end of the old buttership, showing off several new blocks:
The curved pipes.
The factory blocks. Access is on the exterior of the buttership. This is the smallest possible factory.
Suit refill station. Working - Refills your suit gauges.
Hold interface block. Whatever is on the other side of this block is considered the ship's "hold" - Roughly equivalent to your inventory in other games. You can interact with this block to haul out individual blocks.
Material transport, production, and storage, all in one room! Very nice. The game's mechanics, or at least some of the components needed for them, are shaping up nicely. : )
I'm curious about what you mean by "on the other side" of the hold block. Everything on one side of a plane that bisects the hold block? What if you have a ship with multiple deck levels and you only want the lower rear portion of the ship to be the hold (and not all levels on the other side of the hold block) - is that possible?
You'll need to imagine a hold as an enclosed space with one entrance/exit block remaining. You place this block in that gap - The entire enclosed space on the other side of the terminal from you immediately becomes the hold.

Brilliant, that's completely intuitive and just what I was hoping.
You know, those diesel engines will probably melt holes right in that butter wall. :P
Add more butter!
