To understand what RuinValor is you must first gain knowledge of how it came to be. The roots of my desire to make video games can be traced back to Neverwinter Nights; while the singleplayer certainly leaves something to be desired the multiplayer was the jewel amongst the stone in my mind. Packed with a toolset editor, the ability to create, modify, and share worlds of your own is what interested me the most. Couple that with an in game Dungeon Master mode to enhance story telling for the hosts player base and what you obtain is a powerful set of tools that assist in maintaining interest in a game long after its initial release. I have long believed that if you put the proper tools in the hands of the people who make content ( modders and such ) the life of the game can be infinitely extended. game. Throughout the design process I have ensured the core concept for all systems put in place rely on the single factor of customization.

Let us get to know one another. I am riuthamus, the lead designer and creator of this video game. I am 28 years old and currently employed with the US Navy. Who are you? how old are you? What interests you most about this project?

Well hello there, sir! Heh.. 3 months later I pop out here suddenly xD
The name is, Tryan, Ash Tryan! I am 15 and currently going thru school and dem stuffs.. And the thing that most interest me about this.. project. Are the features planned for this. I mean, who doesn't want sandbox type of game, crafting things and mostly capable of creating stories with clans and wars! Plus, I'm wishing for tons of incredible weapons and armors! Which are going to be updated monthly!

I am very excited for the release, perhaps soon or as planned! :D

We are looking to release the alpha as soon as the kickstarter is complete ( assuming we make the goal... which I feel we should ). The beta will be a few months after that and the goal is to have this released by late 2013 early 2014. Glad to have you around and thank you for the comments. I want to make a game that will focus on empowering the people who host servers. I believe that if we do that we can give a quality game that will last years to come.

I see, late 2013 early 2014, sounds like theres a lot to be done! I wish you good luck for it! And I'm glad you're not one of those developers who abandon their games either before releasing the game or after the release. Really, monthly update can keep the players satisfy each month. Also, is this going to be free to play or commercial? Just asking! Just because I love the concept that makes this different from other MMORPGs, especially the mix of Spore + Neverwinter (both are my favorite).

Special games comes with brilliant concepts, so, hopefully this will be a quality game that lasts for years! And attract server hosts too. The more, the better!

As of right now the plan is to make it cost, but we do not want a high cost game and there will not be a monthly cost. You would pay 15 or 20 once and you would get the rest of the updates for free. If we went with a free to play model we would have to have some in game store of sorts and I kinda want to avoid that if we can.... That part has yet to be decided but certainly something to think about in the near future.

For now, the price will be around 15 - 20$. Depends on what people feel is good for the games quality.

Sounds good for me! xD
Now we just have to wait until the release and see the game's quality if it fits from 15$ to 20$! And if you add an ingame store with real cash, people will call it sort of pay to win? Rather than free to play? I guess so, I've seen plenty of games turns out to be pay to win.. And they unbalanced the game for the poor peeps :3

Well if we did the in game store ( not saying we are ) it would be for cosmetic items..... and nothing that would modify your game play element.

Jun 22 2013 Anchor

Oh... I see, well then you should add it! Players might be interested.. if only there are more people for this forum, you could have just ask for their opinion. But I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't really unbalance the game play. :P

i have had this forum for some time... most people who are taking about the game talk on my communities website. www.bhslaughter.com/forum but yeah... i agree we need more people to start talking! :P

Will you look at that... Brotherhood of Slaughter :o
Its good to see that you have a 'massive' amount of people following you for a Massive Multiplayer Online RPG :D
It looks like you're going smoothly!
