Praetorian Defiance is a new first person shooter that will immerse the player in harsh and unyielding alien world. The player will take the place of a warrior whose people have been betrayed by the very people who were sent to help them. This causes them to turn to an old adversary in order to fight for their very survival. Our Player (Insert Name) is a member of the Praetorian Guard on Gilese 185C. Originally a Colony of Earth, Gilese was cut off from all support from earth and abandoned to it’s own fate. Despite these events, the people there prospered. They modified their bodies to better suit their hostile environment. Then out of the blue, Earth reappears, but to what end is the subject of our story.

kind like a matrix /aliens look i like it
the design is like a little halo and strarship troopers,
Indeed. It totally reminded me of starship troopers. Which is a good thing. :)
xD thanks a lot for the coments guys, is pretty hard achieve a design that doesn´t reminds something, hopefully wen the games is release, all the context and the gameplay will create an original feeling for al the assets :)
WOWESOME!!!
We are glad you liked it.
HOLY PIECES OF AWESOME!
that was pretty epic right there.
The design is a little of everything, and that seems rather fitting. It does strike me as being a bit 'small', though there is nothing to compare it to, scale wise. Also, the 'legs' that look like their acting as airfoils look a bit gangly, probably should be make shorter, and thicker, so they don't look like they'd be as likely to scrape on something.
Thanks for the suggestion. the idea behind the legs, was that this helps to navigate and stop or boost the dropship. is not seein clearly in the video, but them have air vents that distribute the air and with this helps to do really tight manouvers in combat situation, and they are the larger than need to be, because also are used as landing gears xD.
about the design, well, sometimes the concept artist we can´t just avoid (even inconsoiously)to take parts of our beloved ships and stuff we seen in our childhood.
so even when i don´t like the idea of this dropship reminds you a lot of things, i think that demostrate the power that the movies, comic bocks and videogames have in our hearts and mind. i dream about one day i can leave a mark in someone with my stuff. :)
thanks for the comment
Haha - yeah - after it's been fully modelled, textured, animated and is in engine AND the fact that it looks amazing already - "change the stuff I don't like about it" :P Sorry dude, unless these guys like to break their own balls over each and every model (for the sake of one opinion) I don't think it'll happen :D
@ ArturoPahua - The design is great dude - the fact it reminds anyone of anything (as long as it's not too OTT or a main feature/rip off) it's a good thing. Familiarity breeds appreciation, well planned innovation breeds success.
In short - this game rocks :) Can't wait to see where it goes!
