Phi tells the story of Daniel, a young inventor and mathematical genius dwelling outside of common social conceptions, trying to make a living from his ideas. When his father, a widely credited and famous archeologist, died and the big black shadow Daniel found himself throughout his whole life finally vanished, there was only one thing to do... closure. Daniel reschedules an important business meeting, he packs his bag and boards the next plane to Cario to fulfill his father's last wish and scatter his cremated remains at the one place he always put before everything else: The Great Pyramid of Khufu. Be prepared for an epic and mysterious 2-1/2D adventure, inspired by Super Metroid and Prince of Persia, that takes you inside and beneath the last remaining ancient wonder. Explore the darkness, solve ancient riddles and use magical artifacts. Survive and discover old secrets that should have better kept hidden under the sand! Will you be able to save the world from immortal delusions?

Though work is continuing on the game we are still having a long way ahead of us.

As posted today on www.sipxgames.blogspot.com the work on Phi has resumed. Support has come in and now we are two people working on it. Hopefully the team will further expand in the future to make this game even better and boost productivity even more.

As detailled in the development log, work from now on focuses mainly on the creation of the main character Daniel, together with all of his animations, as well as on the more technical/programming aspects regarding an efficient, general game logic and the GUI elements of the game (for example the PlayerMenu, displayed in the screenshot with this update). The post also contains a brief excursion into the topic of items, which goes along with the programming of the menus and data structures that need to be handled in the background.

Hopefully the website will soon go live too.

Take care & thx for the support!
