Nova Blitz is a real-time, digital, trading card game set in a future universe ruled by five Aspects of energy: Arcane, Tech, Divine, Nature, and Chaos. As a Nova, you channel that energy to summon units, use powers, and knock out your opponent. Built from the ground up for quick games and constant player interaction, every match of Nova Blitz is a perfect blend of strategy and action. Each turn plays out in real time, and both players play at the same time. This cuts out all the downtime players experience in a normal trading card game – in Nova Blitz, there’s no waiting, so you’re constantly in the action. Nova Blitz is coming to Steam, iPad, and Android in 2015.

Hey IndieDB community! We are super excited to be here. Meet our game, Nova Blitz!

Nova Blitz is a real-time, digital trading card game with community-centered design. You can play a typical game in under five minutes, and since both players take their turns at the same time, there's no waiting for your opponent to take their turn. We're taking advantage of Nova Blitz being a video game to create a bluff-based combat system, a "screwless" shuffler, "smart" booster packs, and more!

Rather than reading about it, you can play the demo by downloading it from our IndieDB page here or on our website. We’re still in pre-Alpha, but the structure of the game is there, and you can play online matches with your friends, too!

While we have our own ideas for making Nova Blitz a game you can enjoy for years to come, we believe it can be even better with your help. When we talk and work together with you - the player - we don’t have to guess what you’ll like because you’ll be telling us what works for you and what doesn’t. On our side, we’re striving to be both transparent and open with our game design progress and decisions so we can work with you every step of the way.

After you’ve played the demo, let us know what you think on our forums or in the comments! We’d love to hear from you. You can also learn more about the game on our official blog, and we’ll be sharing some of those articles over here with additional details on what we’ve changed since they were written.

Stay tuned for more, and game on!
