Description
“Njinga: The Diplomat Warrior” is an upcoming game title based on true events, focused on exploration and non-violent content. Follow the historic path of Njinga, the cunning queen of Ngola kingdom while she helps her people resisting the european explorers and create diplomatic solutions for each challenge.
History
Concept for “Njinga: The Diplomat Warrior” game project arose through João Gomes. An african descendant game artist that wanted to communicate Black History culture, reaching young people through video games. From there, fellow colleagues joined, with a solid mix of other african descendants and women game developers. The goal was not only to show Black History, but also Women Empowerment in Africa. Therefore the story of Njinga, the 17th Century Angola queen (also celebrated in Brazil and the US culture events) was considered an excellent example, and development of the game started.
Right now, “Njinga: The Diplomat Warrior” is still in development for PC, and possibly PlayStation® 4 and Nintendo Switch™.
