Description

A 2.5D turn based RPG with crafting and exploring mechanics. The game takes place in a unique universe where worlds collide and battles are fought within your own soul...

History

Mortalaxy is an extension of my original concept ‘Planet Nutria’ that was shortlisted to compete in the Games for Change Awards in 2014.

Unlike many games for change that aim to be educational, Mortalaxy aims to be fun and entertaining first and foremost. I believe the key to making games for change is to avoid appearing to push an agenda. From what I’ve learned from experience, there is a very fine line between being preachy and entertaining. I personally believe I have walked that line with Mortalaxy.

Before this game I worked in the eLearning industry and illustrated several children’s books (with my twin brother Cody McGrath). One of the books, Dear Bully of Mine was featured in a Huffington Post Article ‘Three Must-Read Books for Bullying Awareness Week’. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Games and Interactive Entertainment.
