Description

with NBTedit, you could edit every file in the NBT format. But there are no other projects which are using this, yet. Most of you will probably use NBTedit to cheat items in /indev/.

Original thread

With NBTedit, you could edit every file in the NBT format (see specs here). But afaik there are no other projects which are using this, yet. Most of you will probably use NBTedit to cheat items in /indev/.

You can simply edit bytes, shorts, ints, longs, floats, doubles and strings. Byte arrays must be exported and imported to edit them (I couldn't think of an easy solution). You can add, rename and delete Tags as well as search for a specific name or value.

Made with SharpDevelop (C#) and compiled for the .NET Framework 2.0.
The current version is 0.9.7.

Go google "Minecraft data values" if you have a player file open. Expand "Inventory", and expand any of the "4 entries" folders.
Count = amount of whatever item.
Slot = where it is in inventory, whether it be on your hotbar, character(armor), bagspace or crafting space.
Damage = I'm assuming durability lost/left from tools. Not quite sure which one.
id = This is where the data values come in. Whatever number it is matches up with the Dec value on the Minepedia website.
Happy editing!
