This game is intended to be released for free online access to the public. Kana Crasher Akiko is a 3D cartoon/anime style platform game wherein you work your way through the level, defeating enemies, passing hazardous objects and situations, with the end goal of helping Akiko learn her Kana (Japanese word for Alphabet) The game is structured to assist people with learning the Japanese Alphabets (Hiragana and Katakana) as well as vocabulary words and their meanings.
Today, we introduced a number of new features and effects.
We created the ability for Akiko to attack enemies, and to shield herself from harm (Only works against enemies). Akiko's new attack abilities can be used to destroy kana crates, when she is in the air, she does a special spinning attack, this enables her to attack targets in the air, as well as on the ground where she lands.
Furthermore, we have introduced a few new sounds, and effects, for instance, when Akiko performs her spinning air attack and lands, an explosion occurs when she strikes the ground.
When Akiko attacks with any attack, a fine white trail will follow her right hand.
The shape of the enemy's squishing hotspot has been modified to make squishing enemies from above easier.
