Since two weeks we are on Steam greenlight, in the beginning the votes went up very fast.
Within the first few days we had 1864 yes- votes. But as soon as the game was not anymore visible on the first pages on Steam Greenlight, the votes went down quickly. So the team works on ideas and new tactics to get more votes for the game.

A few weeks ago, we posted an article announcing that we are working with motion capture data to improve the movements of the characters in the game. This has given our Art Director a lot of headache; there is a lot of work involved to actually transform it into good movements for the game. While doing this we discovered that the team member that was doing all the stunts and acts in the suit, has a tendency to walk a little lopsided and this was not making the task any easier. But we’ve learned a lot about it and our Art Director is getting a lot better at it.

The first picture shows how the data looks like in the beginning; the second is when the data is applied to our main character Brian, and the last one shows how it looks when it’s finished.

We also posted an article about dog guards that we are adding to our game, to give it more difficulty. We have now integrated the idea into the game, here are some screenshots!

From our latest playtests we learned that we must make the buildings and rooms look even more run down to make it more realistic. The team came up with some cool ideas; here are some screenshots, So you can see for yourself, we’ve put an old screenshot of the same room next to the new screenshot.

Old&New: the improved rooms

On Monday there was a very important deadline for a competition to win tickets for the develop conference in Brighton (8-10 July 2014). We misjudged the amount of work that needed to be done and on the last day there suddenly appeared numerous of bugs causing a lot of trouble and making it impossible to finish the demo. Nevertheless we are still finishing the demo version and want to try our luck at another competition for a stand at gamescom. We are also looking for bloggers and testers that are interested to test the game and write about it. So contact us if you are interested!

All in all, we resolved a lot of problems and bugs and we learn new things everyday that will make the game even better.
