Hacknet is an immersive, terminal-based hacking simulator for PC. Dive down a rabbit hoIe as you follow the instructions of a recently deceased hacker, whose death may not have been the accident the media reports. Using old school command prompts and real hacking processes, you’ll solve the mystery with minimal hand-holding and a rich world full of secrets to explore.

Hi all, in just a few weeks, official mod support for Hacknet, and the expansion, Hacknet Labyrinths, will be available. These tools will allow users to create entirely new campaigns and experiences within the Hacknet toolset, and we can't wait to see what people create when they go live to the public.

However, we are looking for some creators to make some cool things in support of the launch on May 23rd. It makes sense to stealth launch the beta here on Moddb, because that's where Hacknet started to get a following in the first place.

A comprehensive guide from Team Fractal Alligator can be found here: Steamcommunity.com This guide outlines every system in the game, and how you can manipulate it in order to create a custom campaign. The Hacknet Extensions branch also includes a playable guide that will get you started, and will show off all the tools at your disposal.

We have also launched a Discord for Hacknet Extensions which can be joined here: Discord.gg. Along with the alpha testers we have creating content, you can bounce ideas around, get support from the community and the developer, and even log support requests. The Discord has all the instructions on how you get access to the Hacknet Extensions branch.

We will be featuring our favourite creations on the Steam Workshop during the launch week, and we're also going to be holding a HackerJam event in conjunction with Moddb very soon with some small prizes up for grabs.

Looking forward to seeing what you all create!
