Exodus
As most of you probably already know, due to problems with getting our Paris server back to life after the 2/22 attack, we have decided to abandon the old server and move to another one... We arranged all the necessities about the lease in the past few days, configured the properties and cleared tarmac for the landing. The Exodus has begun as I write this.
The Core
The Chosen One [server] happened to be located in Berlin, so there should be no great impact on your game(play); everything should work as it has been working thus far. The new hardware is thrice the speed of the old one, at least according to benchmarks, comes with a lot of RAM and a sufficient HDD storage for everyone. In short, we have got Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Quad-Core Processor, 16 GB DDR 3 RAM and 2 x 3 TB SATA 6 Gb/s HDD at our disposal. The bandwidth is standard 100/100, most of us have better ping with it, than with the Paris, and the whole offer is even cheaper for ~10 EUR! We have had no time to test the server thoroughly yet and look forward to host 300+ players on it. I, personally, was never eager to see that many alts in the game as I am right now! For now, everything seems to be promising us a solid and fast piece of hardware with a better technical support (which was one of the main reasons for the Exodus).
The game server
Although we have moved most of the stuff to Berlin already, the FOnline: 2238 server application will be running on Paris for a few more hours. We will be waiting for the address transfer before shutting down Paris once and for all. Any connection parameter changed in the process will be announced officially on our blog, please be sure to visit it regularly for any info until everything is complete.
