Exercitus is a multiplayer persistent browser-based idle game. In Exercitus, you have to build your army and fight other players in order to become the #1. It is a casual game. You don't need to spend hours playing to reach high levels. Since it is turn based, your actions accumulate over time. That way, you can stop by whenever you want and spend your action points the way you like. There are a lot of unit types, equipments, buildings and achievements. Furthermore, there are many possible strategies, such as an offensive, defensive or balanced one.

As soon as you start buy 1-2 Wolves. This gives you enough attack to win against most level 1s. Spend all your attacks and make sure your target has quite a descent amount of resources, if your target has zero army size, its a sure win. There's a lot of inactive level 1 and 2, so its pretty easy to farm a lot of resources at the start. Always upgrade your House each time you level up. Try to balance your Gold and Magic gain. Beings that gives resources each turn is a better investment than those that gives Attack and/or Defense. In terms of equipment, Prioritize buying Robe Bracers (Make sure the amount of equipment you have is NOT more than your total army size or else it won't give any bonus). If you have extra resources, spend it on the other equipments. Do not buy beings that doesn't give any resources unless you need the extra boost if you're trying to beat someone. Later in game, if you have enough attack to successfully raid everyone, try focusing on defense next. You cannot attack people with more than 5 levels below you. *I keep losing army size what should I do? ~ You are being attacked, invest on buying defensive equipments. the greater the difference between the attacker attack then the defender's defense, the more beings are killed.
