You will NEED to UV map this thing properly... Even still, if you choose not to properly unwrap this thing, from the looks of it, whatever 'texture' is applied to this model is applied along the wrong axis.
If you HAVE to do a cheap texture, apply it sideways to the gun, not from the front or back.
what the **** is this, looks like all you did was draw some lines, scribbled on it with crap, and took a picture of it and post it to moddb, get outta here with this crap
