Per moci's suggestion, nothing beats unwrapping the hot new console over holiday break, especially during the exciting 16bit era. Blast processing vs Mode 7 - let the battle begin!!!!
I know man... unfortunately the design calls for very obviously colored gifts (combos are pulled off via color sequences), and black+red (the core Genisis colors) are only used on enemy objects.
At least I tried to hit a nice "Sonic-Blue" color :)
