You are a God! You are master and ruler of a loyal nation. You have unimaginable powers at your disposal. You have claimed this world as yours. But there are others who stand in your way. You must defeat and destroy these pretenders. Only then can you ascend to godhood and become the new Pantokrator. When you start the game you decide what kind of god you are and how your DOMINION affects your lands and followers. It is an expression of your divine might and the faith of your followers. If your dominion dies, so do you. Your dominion also inspires your sacred warriors and gives them powers derived from your dominion. In order to win and become the one true god you have to defeat your enemies one of three different ways: conquer their lands, extinguish their dominion or claim the Thrones of Ascension. I am making a story-based mod and would like a certain battle to be to the death (i.e. routed units should not be able to flee).
Read through the modding manual and didn't find any way to achieve this effect, does anyone know how?

Just a fast idea - mod units and give them 50 morale (just like golems/undeads) ?

PS I forgot about 75% auto-rout ....

Berserking units don't rout.

50 make them mindless and they never rout.. Wounded berserker will not rout either.

You could have their commander onebattlespell an all friendly troops berserk spell.

I wonder if you could Mod a spell that would be like Fanaticism, only 50x stronger and affect enemy units aswell for example for the purpose. Call it "Deathwish" or something and make it national with cast requirement of 5 Priest Level to some nation who then will have a lv5 priest present in said battle or something?

Out of curiosity how are you making a story based mod? Are you combining the mod with a specially map or something similar?

Thanks to all for the suggestions! I'll try them out and see which works best.

@Admiral - a custom-made map, among other things - most of the story will be in unit and item descriptions. It's based on a long-running campaign shared with some friends (probably not of general interest)
Basically, a pantheon of lesser gods against an overpowered monstrosity from beyond - I would like all battles involving said monstrosity to be of the "defeat me or be utterly destroyed" kind.
