Sorry guys! Let's see ... ah there it is: This is our second article on IndieDB and we are still excited to be part of such a great and helpful community (again: great job sucking up to the community right from the start). And we have very exciting news: We are going to be featured on Square Enix Collective starting April 11th!!! In case you don't know who or what Square Enix is (c'mon dude...really?):
Final Fantasy, Hitman, Tomb Raider etc. etc. etc.
You know, they publish games and stuff. Very good games! Like the best games ever made (FFVII my love!!!).
OK, OK, back to the topic: Slowly, but confidently, bring in the flour from the inside of the well. (You don't want to break the walls of the well, or the water will go everywhere.) Continue to ... goddammit!
Back to Collective:
- You pitch your game to SEC and if approved by Square, they share it through their channels. This includes the folks who frequent the projects posted on the Collective as well as SEC's Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts, and a substantial mailing list. They do this for free.
- Then the community votes and leaves feedback for the development team for 4 weeks.
- If the reception is strong enough Square Enix may offer to help you with your crowd-funding campaign.
