Dead Year is going to be a top down shooter, open world, dynamic zombie game. there will be randomly placed and named groups of npcs, or "survivors", which depending on your class, you can lead and command, equip them, and build fortresses for them. you will be able to find guns and melee weapons, as well as build custom weapons. you will be able to buy and build gun attachments. you will be able to build lots of different armors, varying from zombie skin to reinforced steel armor. you will be able to find and fix broken down vehicles, turn them into mobile fortresses, and mow down zombies with them. there will be dynamic day and night cycles, at which point zombies re-spawn during the night. these are just currently planned features, more to come!

Something crazy and bizarre happened today! Dead Year is now 110th of over 9000 on IndieDB! WOW! after only 11 hours of being authorized, Dead Year has had more than 250 visitors! This number beats any 48 hour number I have ever gotten! Thanks to everybody who checked out Dead Year, and stay tuned for 0.0.0.4!

Dev Build 3 (0.0.0.3) is now available for download!

The pitch video i released yesterday has received only 10 views, mainly from my subscribers, but Dead Year is getting out there! Development will shortly hit a state which has never occurred to a team I was ever in, and that is the Grind Process! Sadly, its called the Grind Process because that is the time when the core mechanics are being coded, tested, dubugged, and upgraded, which is a tedious task! We will work through it to bring the best content possible!
