Hey guys!
I just shared our Assassin concept image and in its description, i've said something about dodge system we will explain later. But lets just talk about it a little now, at least for making things clear.
Ok, i'm getting so frustrated about one thing in most of the games for years. Armor values. Yes, Armor values. I know, these are games which includes sooo many fantasy, sci-fi, futuristic worlds, times, also I'm not related to realism in any platforms, not much, but i just cannot understand one thing about all of these. Light armors ( basic robe, tanktop, tshirt, sweatshirt, you name it ) with so much Armor value. I mean come on, no matter what realm, story, fiction, galaxy you could be in, a CLOTH cannot stop a BULLET or a SWORD. I'm not talking about " LETS MAKE EVERYTHING SO REALISTIC IN EVERY GAME" I only try to point out an obvious thing. There are some meme's around showing female armors, which equally means SEXY ARMORs , contains armors, plates not much more than a basic bra. Actually I'm ok with them, that's a style, a concept to make players feel good, satisfied about their avatars look. It's ok, really. Otherwise, oh my god, it's just stupid.
That's why, we created something called "i don't know", because we didn't specificaly named it yet. But for now, we can call it "awesome dodge". For all the classes which doesn't use heavy armors against weapons, in combat, you can just press related buttons or a button when indicated for an awesome dodge. For example, you are a dual wielding melee assassin, going into battle. Against 2 ranged enemies, well, you have pretty much no chance of reaching their melee range without taking serious damage. With this feature, you can just run for them, there will be a little red light or a basic indicator when they try to shoot you, if you can press the dodge button on the right time, you could go in front of them with barrelrolls, bad-ass jumps, and get into melee combat with them easily. The logic behind this feature is basicly, the term DODGE we use in games is an effect of the strong REFLEXES and reflexes makes you react to an action which you've seen or dealt with before. So, yeah, it's that simple and cool at the same time.
As i said, it was a basic explanation of this feature we really like. I hope i could explain it good enough to make things clear :3
And lastly, i used "dodge" word so many times on this one and i always had to check them twice for not writing "doge" instead of "dodge". So yeah, here's doge, being many happy over our dodge system.
