Welcome, ladies & gentlemen!

A-ha, how y'all doing? Now, the name of the game is to answer truest to yourself. There's no right and wrong, everyone's a winner! Ooorrr a loser, depending how you think about it. Life is all about perception, you see. Onto the first question!

You're a murderer, we all know it. But do you think you are?

Close Your Eyes is an early 2014 horror game I made for Ludum Dare 29 in two days. While there were elements of the game I liked, there were a lot of problems with it, so I've decided to spend a few more days on it, remove elements and sections I didn't like, cut down on the long 'walking' segments, and add a lot of new content to make it really a whole new game.

Through a stroke of sheer luck, you've managed to escape death row. Taking to an underground subway, you try to find your salvation. Can he break free of the past that binds you, and please, can you close your eyes? Just close them.

All sprites, music, sound effects, and voicing are by myself. Art is by Rincs. If you decide to play, make sure to install the font in the font folder if the text appears off-adjacent with the game window and trails off the screen.

So this is a freeware RPG Maker horror game made from scratch for Ludum Dare 29 back in April of 2014. I last month updated the game quite a bit, and released it to various freeware sites, to which the response of the game was much better than I anticipated. I decided for experimentation and fun, to try and submit the game to Greenlight and see if I can get it as a free game on Steam. If this gets through, I'll expand the content of the game greatly, and release it for anyone to get freely and play via Steam. If you have any questions, I'll respond in the comments on this page. Thank you for the kind word from people, and to see how this goes.

Basically, see if I can get the game as a free game on Steam, if it gets Greenlit I'll add a lot of next content to the game, mainly for experimentation and to see what happens.

Ok, I'm a little confused. I download what I thought was the Redux version through Steam, but I think I got the older version? I'm not complaining on that, but it's just that it seems that I get a bit confused as I can only find one play through of the original game to help me out while there's many of the Redux version. I just want to ask as to whether or not I'll be missing anything story wise by having the older version instead of the new one. And how come I can't seem to find the Redux version?

The one on Steam is the newest version, how you can tell which version your playing you can tell after the first stair sequence (in the Redux version, you end up in a train puzzle, in the Final Expansion, you end up in a room with the purple save point). I removed the Redux version from most sites, since the Final Expansion version is the Redux version, just expanded with various fixes and additions, new areas, story scenes, and endings.

If you play a version where at the very start you go down the stairs and get to a room with a purple glowing save point, your playing the version with everything in it.

ALRIGHT, sorry about that, the glitch of the train being full of spikes is now fixed, and safe for download. Sorry to early downloaders. XD;

D'oh, I made a dumb error with the final game that made it unpassable by some later-in tile messing. Fixing quickly, but if you downloaded the game before this message re-download, it made it so once you enter the train there were a lot of unpassable spikes inside.
