Intro
Hey there! Welcome to this week's roundup of the YouTube, where we covered two great DOOM total conversions proving idtech 1 is alive and well!
Monday - Playthrough - Divine Frequency
Dreams and Reality collide in Divine Frequency - a DOOM total conversion where surrealist and mindwarping environments, grim encounters and an obscure style create a constant feeling of unease. A Lovecraftian attitude persists throughout in that all the things you're witnessing don't seem made for mortal eyes - and before we get going, all I can really say is viewer discretion is advised!
What hides guarded by the reactor of Chernobyl? Answering that question is up to you in Chernobylite, a wasteland exploration and mystery solving indie focused on you revisiting that fateful site and finding out what now lurks there. Rich in atmosphere and dense in dread, Chernobylite channels all the fears of a radioactive environment and the death hanging in the air whilst providing grimly beautiful aesthetics to denote your journey.
Circadian Offset being a map pack is a disingenuous title, for it does so much more than that - with new weapons, enemies, and items sourced from other classic 2.5D shooters and a vibrant, imaginative set of levels that bring more colour to idtech 1 than ever. Never overdone, the art design is incredible, and you'll see a great variety of environments as you tread unfamiliar ground in search of a kidnapped friend.
That's all for this round-up. What do you think about the mods listed? Feel free to discuss below and check out the YouTube for more videos past, present, and future!
