Description
Boons & Burdens is a single player, action-roguelike, bullet heaven set in the depths of a hellish dimension. Battle hordes of demons through 12 levels of evil, collect magical gems to purchase powerful boons, and unlock your true potential as one of many wizards. But beware! The path to power requires sacrifice. Each level requires you to choose a new burden that transforms the difficulty. Become the paragon of ultimate power, or the architect of your own downfall, and watch it all unfold in richly detailed, over-the-top pixel art.
History
Boons & Burdens is the spiritual successor to the shmup, Gunlocked. Taking all of the lessons learned, and requested features that couldn't make it into that game, Boons & Burdens was shaped into a refined action roguelike that anyone can pick up and play with 20-30 minutes to spare.
