Neighborhood Conflict
Turn Based StrategyKids of the neighborhood battle for social and financial supremacy, based on real events.
Bolphaia is a game similar to Chess, with new rules and more pieces. I always liked Chess, but I have gotten tired of the same familiar setup. Modifying the movement of the pieces or expanding the size of the board while keeping the same basic framework could enhance an already deep experience. It also bothered me how many of the pieces made no sense - how does a tower move around? Why can the queen rampage across the map? What the hell is a bishop?
As solution to this, I made Bolphaia, which can be played here: Bolphaia.herokuapp.com
It is best run in Chrome, and has not yet been tested much in other browsers.
In offline mode, you will control both players from the same screen and the game will be run only on the client.
For online play, you must enter a username and login, and then challenge another player to a game by clicking the link in the right hand list of users in the lobby. They must be online to actually see the request and accept. Once they accept, a new game will be created and you will be able to enter it by clicking it in the left hand pane.
