I'm really struggling in the battle against Blockster. The furthest I've been able to get is grabbing one spiked block and using it to destroy one red block. But generally it's all I can do to avoid getting hit while waiting for a spiked block to not fall into the abyss. (Once, I was able to grab a spiked block as it came shooting out of the red block.) Two things that make it even more challenging is that not only do I have a narrow window to grab a spiked block before it vanishes, but sometimes I just can't grab the block, even though I'm well within range for my TK to work.

Any advice for someone who was never brilliant at platforming?

How I did it when I was speed-running it (I found this much easier than the way I was originally doing it) was I stood on the upper right platform and kept jumping to dodge his shots. Here are a few things I used to beat him:

If you look at him, just befort he shoots, he will either spew red or white stuff. (You may already know this) If he spews red stuff, he is about to shoot a STONE spiked block which is UNGRABBABLE. If he spews white stuff, then he will shoot a normal spiked block which is grabbable. Try your best to pay attention to which color stuff he is spewing out before he shoots.

Another trick that is useful in many places is to move your cursor into the path of where he is going to shoot a normal spiked block and HOLD DOWN the mouse button. Then, for some reason, when he shoots the spiked block, it will fly into your cursor and you will hold it. This allows you to grab them much more easily and lets you grab the ones that will fall into the abyss if you didn't grab them.

Try to throw the spiked block so that it destroys two red blocks instead of one. This makes the battle go by much faster.

Also, it helps to have a partner while fighting the boss to press F1 or 1 super fast right after you destroy a block so that you save state. You can do this yourself, but there is a higher chance of getting into a bad situation because you have to take your hand off the movement keys to press 1 or F1. But it REALLY helps to save state after each block is destroyed.

Even with these strategies, this boss is still hard. I thought that I was missing an easier way to win on the first two bosses because what I was doing was so hard. You just have to keep trying. And, once you get far enough in this boss, you cannot be harmed if you stand on the top platforms.

A couple things that helped me:
*Get to high ground as soon as you can and stay there as long as you can.
*Save early and save often.
*Keep the mouse button pressed unless you're throwing the spike and keep the pointer in front of blocks you know are about to shoot.
*Pay attention to which spikes you can grab and which you can't.
*And because it's stuck in my head...We commence to make you Jump, Jump. The Mac Dad will make you Jump, Jump. The Daddy Mac will make you Jump, Jump. Kriss Kross will make you Jump, Jump.

Or, you know, what Arete said. That's what I get for listening to 90's music ;-)
