Greetings!
Barry here, In the main kickstarter video I mention "Terrain Destruction", and how that can be used in the game, But I don't really take the time to showcase that until now.
As you can see in the update video, you can break almost anything in the game and use those objects to kill Feeders and alter the landscape around you. This is just some of the stuff you can do in the game at this point, much more can be done with this as the game develops further.
Something else the video highlights is the ability to use almost anything in the world as a tool or weapon, even a simple rock in this case is used to break a fence and create noise, drawing a feeder into your trap.
At this moment we're at 1000 backers and over 17k pledged!!! My mind is truly blown!Lets keep this going! We're getting closer every day but Ashen Rift is really going to need more support, and soon if it is to become something we can all be proud of!
I would also really like to thank the guys over at Wasteland 2 for their constant support, you guys have made all the difference in the world!
Thanks for the continued support and thank you for believing in this project, You're all amazing!
Barry.
hmmmm, this looks very nice. Cant wait to see what other presents and suprises you give this game. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! It'll only get better as it develops ;D
cool game! when will it be out
December is my goal
So toss a rock like in the past few FarCry games?
Looks quite interesting but that must be a very feeble fence to be destroyed so easily by a rock.
I wonder, have you ever actually thrown a rock at a wooden fence?
I actually spent a week in the field (the field near my house) throwing rocks at other peoples fences... These fences sadly were not ravaged by 10 years of churning earth, but close enough. I tried gravel which had no effect, and eventually moved up to shot-put style. Before I knew it, the mans fence was largely decimated and his cows set free. I couldn't throw rocks that were much bigger than that, but when I dropped them onto the fallen/broken fence I had great fun and good results... after i got out of jail for vandalism I managed to simulate most of my findings in the game. Please keep in mind My fence breaker simulation is still early and needs some work.
Awesome!
