New AntiDark Matter Design
As I announced before, the guys behind the Indie Game Maker Contest 2014 extended the People's Choice voting until the end of July! In the same time, they gave the developers a chance to renew the official appearance (but not the download links due to cheating possibilities) of their games. This is a huge opportunity for so many developers, who didn't have time to make an appropriate appearance. For developers like me! Here you can see the result:
Possible Broken Link
One of the users from IGMC 2014 told me that the official download link doesn't work, although it does work for my friends and me. But we live in Germany and the filehoster is located in Hamburg. This could be the reason why the download link seems to be broken. Since I only have this report, it's highly possible that it was just a temporary problem - which I hope. To be sure, I added more links to the description. Also, if one of you readers, who doesn't live in Germany, could check the official link and tell me if it works, I'd be very thankful.
You can find the AntiDark Matter submission here. If you like the game, please, vote for me. :)

Some more Issues?
I tested the game yesterday on a different machine and I was shocked. The performance was very, very bad, although the engine is 10 years old and the system I was running only about two years in comparision. It was simply no fun to play the game. If you experienced the same, I am truly sorry. I didn't know how the engine reacts to different systems. But I have some tips on how it COULD run better.
1. Steam:
If you run Steam in the background and also downloading/updating games, your hard disk drive could be working to capacity. I experienced that shutting off the downloads will increase performance massively.
2. "Smooth Mode":
The RPG Maker XP had some strange options. When the game is running, press the F1 key and a window will show up. Deselect the "smooth mode" option and it should run more stable. Sadly the "frames per seconds" will drop, but they drop to a STABLE value.
3. Memory inefficiency:
It is also possible - but not yet tested - that the system has memory issues. My system has 16GB of main memory and the tested machine from yesterday only had 4GB. I assume that the amount of available main memory heavily affects the game performance. As I said, this is untested, but feel free to check it out. You can try a game booster tool and see if it runs better.
Again, I apologize for the poor performance on some machines. If I knew this, I would have probably start working with a different engine. I also hate low performance engines and I am very sorry! I hope this small troubleshooting could help.
